Ministries at Hayes Barton Baptist Church

Hayes Barton Baptist Church believes in offering many diverse ministries, including bible studies, worship services, arts-related programs, and service to the community. In all of our ministries, we strive to develop opportunities for personal growth, biblical learning, development, service, and fellowship to suit anyone’s unique spiritual needs and desires.

We are always seeking to add to our extensive collection of ministries, improve the way we do things, and ultimately touch the lives of as many people as possible in our congregation, our local community, and throughout the country and the world. Our goal is always to be a leader in Christian ministry, empower our members to expand their relationships with God, and encourage more people to join our community and our ministry efforts.

 
 
 
 

HBBC Kids

Jesus Christ came into the world as a child, and the Bible tells us that he “grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man” (Luke 2:52). At Hayes Barton Baptist Church, we strive to help children grow like Jesus grew and learn what it means to be his disciple. We welcome all children into our church family and commit to being the presence of Christ for them in this place.

Youth

The HBBC Youth Ministry consists of students currently in grades 6-12. We gather on Sunday and Wednesday evenings, and our activities include meals, recreation, Bible study, worship, trips and most importantly, service. Our group is welcoming, energetic, and fun-loving! Whether we're playing basketball in our gym or packing meals for underprivileged children in our community, we celebrate how God shows up in our gatherings.

Women

We are very proud of the thriving Women’s Ministry at HBBC. There are many events and opportunities to serve our community and support each other. Plan to join us for a luncheon, dinner, service project or annual retreat.

Adults Ages 55+

Hayes Barton’s Adult Ministries Ages 55 & Up group is all about fellowship, activity and learning for our senior adult members. Join us for one of our monthly activities including luncheon meetings, excursions, and programs. We are proud to have one of the most active, vibrant, and welcoming senior adult fellowship communities in the area.

Adults

There are many ways for adults to find a place at HBBC. From Bible studies to fellowship to service opportunities, getting involved in a small group truly makes a difference in growing as a disciple of Christ. We would love to have you join us.

Music

We love using music as a vehicle for enhancing the worship experience, and we encourage our members to use their musical gifts to help our congregation praise God. Our worship services are most often accompanied by organ or piano, but we also include accompaniment by flute, violin, and other instruments and ensembles. In addition to our Chancel Choir, we also have a range of other choirs, including preschool, children’s, youth, and handbells.

Broadcast

Our TV and online broadcasts have been a significant part of our ministries and community outreach efforts. We are humbled by the loving support we receive from our weekly TV congregation. We hope you will join us live every Sunday at 11:00 AM or at your convenience online, anytime.

 
 
 

Preschool

Hayes Barton Baptist Preschool is a play based half day program. We strive to be developmentally appropriate for all children while providing engaging activities. Our school day includes center-based learning along with a free play activity period, group time, snack, and outdoor play. Our small class sizes help to foster strong bonds between children and teachers.

Family Life Center

Churches are often places to gather for more than Sunday worship. Our FLC offers basketball, fitness classes, fellowship and events. The Family Life Center itself does not “do” ministry: it's the people inside having a relationship with Christ that “do” ministry.

School of Music

The HBBC School of Music offers quality music instruction in a Christian setting. Our program offers private instruction for ages four through senior adults. Whether you are interested in developing a new hobby or more serious study, our teachers are ready to assist you in developing your abilities to their fullest.

KidzStuff Consignment Sale

The KidzStuff Consignment sale is a great place to get great deals on gently-used children’s items. There are two sales per year; one for spring/summer and one for fall/winter. Each sale features seasonally-appropriate clothing and shoes. Proceeds from our sale go to fund children’s ministries through Hayes Barton Baptist Church, and donations from our sale also benefit local children’s charities. We have opportunities to donate or volunteer for each sale.

Christian Resource Center

The CRC strives to be more than a collection of valuable books. The CRC can be a gathering place, a training center, a reflection place, a listening center, a viewing center – a place of respite, renewal, and encouragement.
