Christian Educational Environment

We view the time we experience with each child as an opportunity to share the love and abilities God has given us. Christian ideas are presented as a way of life rather than a separate subject. We seek to enable each child to realize his or her own God-given potential!

Developmentally-appropriate Curriculum

Our focus is directed toward meeting the needs of the whole child: physically, intellectually, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. Our program provides experiences for learning through center-based activities, stories, music, art, nature, and outdoor play, along with opportunities to learn about God, God’s world, and God’s love. A traditional theme-based preschool curriculum is enhanced by the Wee Learn teaching series.

Support and Encouragement for Parents

We support families in their efforts to provide a happy, secure, and wholesome home environment. We promote the importance of a Christ-centered family as we seek to model Christian values and services in the classroom and in our relationships. We strive to work cooperatively to ensure every child’s success at home and at school.

Medical Information

All emergency forms and a copy of your child’s current immunization record must be completed and returned prior to the first day of school.

For health reasons and because of room constraints, all children in the three-year-old classes are encouraged to be completely potty trained before the first day of school.

HBBP is an Allergy Aware School. If your child has any food allergies, you will be required to have an Allergy Action Plan on file by the first day of school. To provide the safest environment for all children, we may ask you to limit the foods you send to school with your child.

TESTIMONIALS

Having moved to Raleigh the summer of 2019 and not knowing many people in the area, I had no idea about where to put my then two-year old daughter in school. Hayes Barton Baptist Church was in walking distance from my new home, so I made a leap of faith and enrolled Roo in their preschool program without knowing much about it. Over a year later and I cannot express how incredibly thankful I am for taking that leap of faith and for the time we've spent at Hayes Barton Baptist Preschool. As an educator myself, I see and appreciate how tremendously hard the teachers work to ensure the children are engaged, challenged, cared for, and most importantly, loved. — Mattis Collier

HBBP has been such a great place for my kids. I have had two kids go through with my last in Pre-K this year. I am heartbroken that this is our last year at HBBP, because the teachers and staff have become like family. My kids are so prepared for Kindergarten and have maintained preschool friendships for years. —Nicole McCraney
