HBBC Classic Third Annual Golf Outing: The Family Life Center and Hayes Barton Baptist Church will be hosting its Third Annual Golf Outing on Friday, October 18th at 1 p.m. at the Raleigh Golf Association. HBBC Softball: There is a Fall/Spring season each year through the Raleigh Parks and Recreation Department. The team plays other churches in the area at Millbrook Exchange Park on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Contact David Keel at email@example.com for more information.
HBBC Youth Basketball: Hayes Barton Baptist Youth Basketball is offered for boys 4th-12th grade and girls 6th-12th grade. The season lasts from late October–late February. Preschool Programs in the FLC: There are many opportunities for preschoolers in the Family Life Center including Soccer Shots on Mondays, Sports with Coach Scott on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and a Daisy Dance program coming soon on Wednesdays. Recreation with Kids: Come enjoy a time of free play in the gym before “The Gathering” on Wednesdays from 5:30–6:10 PM. This is a time for parents and their children to have some fun and be able to fellowship with other church members. All kinds of games are available for the kids to play. You name it, we have it. Painting with Lorraine: If you have thought that you would like to learn to paint or are an experienced artist who would love to get together to exchange ideas, this is the class for you. Each person paints at his/her own level with as little or as much instruction as they like. the class is free and beginners are welcome. “Painting with Lorraine” meets on Tuesday mornings from 10:00 AM–12:30 PM in FLC-201. Senior Games: Senior Game Day is a Movers and Shakers event. It is held every Tuesday of the month in the Fellowship Hall from 10:00 AM–12:00 PM. This is a great time of fellowship with other HBBC members. Dominoes, Bingo, and card games are favorites in this group! Snacks, bottled water, and small prizes will also be available. Bridge: Bridge is played upstairs in the Family Life Center every Thursday from 8:30-12:00p.m. Contact David Keel if interested.
Outside Programs in our facilities
There are many other programs available in the Family Life Center from some of our partnering groups including Fit 4 Mom exercise classes, Early Riser bootcamp classes for men and women, summer camps for kids and even Senior games and Painting with Lorraine on Tuesday mornings.
Sports with Coach Scott: Coach Scott has been running sports classes and camps for preschool-aged children for almost 10 years now. During his class, kids learn the basics of soccer, t-ball, basketball, etc. They also play games and work on coordination and teamwork skills. It’s a great program for kids to get exercise, learn about sports, and most importantly HAVE FUN!! Classes are held Tuesdays and Thursdays in the Family Life Center from 1:15–2:30 PM. Soccer Shots: Soccer Shots is the national leader in youth soccer development for children ages 2–8. The program focuses on helping kids learn the game at an earlier age and helps them learn valuable teamwork/character skills each time. Email email@example.com for more information or to register.
